Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008

Dispute resolution - Approval of dispute resolution schemes - Approval of dispute resolution schemes

54: Notification and publication of decision

You could also call this:

“The Minister must tell people about their decision on a dispute resolution scheme”

When the Minister decides about approving a dispute resolution scheme, they need to do a few things. First, they must tell the person who applied for approval what they decided as soon as they can. If the Minister decides to approve the scheme, they also have to do two more things. They need to make sure that the approval is published in a special government newsletter called the Gazette. They also need to make sure that the chief executive updates some important details about the scheme. These details are described in another part of the law called section 78(2).
