Electricity Act 1992

Registration and licensing of electrical workers and employer licences - Register of electrical workers

127: Form of register

You could also call this:

“How the electrical workers register is kept and accessed”

The register for electrical workers and employer licences can be kept electronically or in any way the Registrar thinks is best. The Registrar can split the register into different parts if needed.

You can usually access the register at any time. However, there are two situations when you might not be able to use it:

  1. The Registrar can stop people from using the register if they think it’s not practical to provide access.
  2. Sometimes, rules called regulations might say the register can’t be used.

The Registrar is allowed to block access to all or part of the register if they believe it’s not practical for people to use it at that time.
